Since my wife is pregnant for about nine months now, I thought it was nice to make a shelfqueen for my son’s bedroom.
I’ll try to give you a walk through the project
At first I didn’t know what color it had to be, but it’s pretty obvious that it should be blue….
Right from the start I measured out a Rockstar star on the roof. This was going to be the second color of the car, grey.
I’ve sprayed the outer boundaries in white so the star would have some character.
The hood is painted in black
First stance pics and rear lights painted. Didn’t like the gold rims on it so I bought the same ones but in white.
Maksing for the windows. I’ve painted them on the outside of the body, because that works for me.
Wingtesting, I didn’t like the height of the koguchi power yokomo wing so I cutted out some styrene wing mounts. At last it didn’t look the way I wanted it to be, and ordered the original Kei Office wing which is a bit better.
Started with some stickers, ofcourse fatlace can’t be missing on one of my body’s.
Finally the mailman brought my white rims! The offset is just perfect.
Started with random stickering, I didn’t want a complete livery but just some well placed stickers.
Also I’ve mounted the mirrors, exhaust and the front mounted intercooler.
Next up was crafting the front lip. It took a long time to glue it nicely to the body, but after several attempt it came out fine. Gotta tell this is the first time I made one, the results could be better, but I’m satisfied with it.
Overall picture with painted lip and the kei office spioler.
Today I’ve finished the body, with adding some more decals and fitting the buckets. Tomorrow the baby is going to be born, with the help of the hospital. So it had to be ready today. Here are the final showpics:
There is gonna be more detail to it with a driversset, rollcage and some led lights. But there’s no more time for that now!
