Last sunday we all made the trip to The Hague for round 4 of the D1:10 series. Due to the weather not being pleasant at all we moved to an old familiar venue, Vd. Ende Karting at Poeldijk. In 2008 RCDrift Events used to have an indoor RC track there and coïncidentally the same spot was still empty and ready for us to use. After building a make-shift track we got cracking.

Before I start with the scores I’ll explain the big news I wrote about in the last report. Team Wreck it Sideways has landed an official sponsor, Touge Automotive. Touge Automotive supplied us with, among other things, a very cool custom livery for the new team cars. The cars were finished very last minute and therefore the livery isn’t 100% done yet, but we will sort them out and you can expect a full photoshoot soon! In the meantime, go check out Touge Automotive’s store for awesome stickers, stickerbombs, clothing and offcourse RC car decals. Don’t forget to feed Turbozilla!
But wait, there’s more. We also added a new member to the team! His name is Bop and he’s the guy to watch at the coming events as his driving is getting better everytime. With the D1RC World Championship and some practicedays ahead I expect he will be scoring big in the future. He will be introducing himself on the website soon.
Now, on with the scores. I can’t give exact scores as the list isn’t published yet, but with some calculations I narrowed down the possibilities.
Reinier – Top8, probably 6th
Edo – Top8, probably 7th
Tijs – Top16, 9th + Top Qualifier + Concours D’Elegance
Ricardo – Top16, around 12th
Bop – B poule, around 18th
No podium finish for TWS this time unfortunatly but we did get 3 out of 4 new shells nominated for the Concours D’Elegance with me taking the trophy.
Check back soon for a full report on round, Bop’s introduction and more video’s!
