I’ve already posted a teaser on our Facebook and some people guessed it right.
It is indeed a Hotbodies TC-D!
More after the jump.
Wasn’t planning on buying a new chassis this fast but the price was really good. And finding another TC-D for sale isn’t easy. Especially in the Netherlands because if i’m right this is the only one. So i couldn’t let this one pass!
The TC-D is a discontinued chassis but it shares a lot of parts with the Cyclone so finding important bits isn’t difficult. That’s also a reason why i choose a TC-D over other chassis. I have more then enough Cyclone parts laying around.
It really needed a rebuild when i received it but that didn’t really bother me because all the carbon and aluminium parts where in great shape.
Underside is almost scratch free.
Some of the hopups that i had laying around and will be used on the TC-D.
Stripped the whole chassis to clean everything.
Cleaned and mounted the bulkheads and motormount.
And back together again next to my TC-H. Yes i still need to clean up the wiring 😛
When i received the chassis it had Spec-R DCJ’s (V1) on the front. Tijs and Edo both used these but didn’t really had good experience with it so I exchanged those with original Cyclone steel CVD’s.
This chassis will be used to test more % CS then my TC-H till i’m confident enough to use it in competition.
This chassis already had a 45% CS setup when i received it but i wasn’t happy how everything was mounted. So i removed the 42t front pulley and used the 40t pulley it had on the rear. And mounted a stock 39t pulley on the rear, this will give it 42% underdrive.
