I’ve been campaigning my Yokomo DRB for over a year now, and I still very much like it. I’ve been improving it slowly over the last competition season and this season it shows that all the work is paying off. With a 4th and 1st place finish under its belt, the DRB is now in 1st place in the overall standings for this season. I thought this was a good moment to show you the ins and outs of my chassis, together with some awesome pictures by Dorigazo.
This is just a part of all the new parts that have gone in the DRB since I first build it. I’ve been tuning the car as soft as possible. This means, soft springs, soft rebound, lots of droop and more flex in the chassis. This to increase the grip and speed and to add realism (the car now rolls and squats just like a real drift car).
I’ve also tried to make the chassis look better. Most notably are the white Yokomo ballends, red alloy RC-Art bumperholder and offcourse the awesome and megashiny gold screws from Hiro Seiko. They all have a function too, its not just bling. The screws and ballends are stronger than stock, and the bumperholder adds weight to the front. There’s a lot of subtle changes too, just check out the list of hopups below.

Where did I buy what? The DRB or ..?
Were did you get the red damper kit
The red dampers come stock on the red DRB and DIB. You can also buy them seperatly from Yokomo, its the SSS damper set. Mine however have some upgraded internals.
